Beading Fixture 2

beadingfixture2.jpg

This first part is a block with a 1/8" hole drilled cross-wise for the rod to pass through. Then a slot was milled halfway in and halfwaydown in the block. Here I'm showing a brass rod after the machining pass. The process worked so well, I was brave enough to mill out the corner of a stainless steel bar. That is what I used on the tender. I used the brass beading on the back of the Cab.

The second part of the fixture is an X-Y drill press vice to pull the rod through the guid bar. The mill is stopped and the vice is positioned at the far left position and the vice is locked. The mill is started and the X-Y table is moved to the right, pulling the bar pased the cutter.
