The first step is to press the bearing on the axles. This shows the setup. The grey item on the bottom of the axle is a plastic end protector. At the top is a plate to cover the hole in the press and provide a square surface. Under that is a turned aluminum tube that applies pressure only to the inner race of the bearing. The bearing press fit was really light (0.0005 to 0.001 max), so we applied lock-tight to hold them in place. THe bearings were pressed down to the shoulder.
