The Valve Chest Liners first have the steam ports drilled using a rotary divider to get the hole spacing correct, first using a center drill and then the through hole. Next I chucked it up in Gordon's lathe and machined the narrow/deep recess. This will be used as a guide to file the round holes square. This will make the port opening and closing sharper.
Matt then filed the holes square.
